Fringe favourite stand-up comic Tom Allen is back in Edinburgh, not standing up this year but sitting down, in the hot seat, as host for his chat show debut Tom Allen’s Afternoon Tea.

The perfect start to your evening on the fringe.   Join multi award winning comic Tom for his much awaited brand new take on the traditional chat show, as top festival performers and celebrities join him for an hour of sparkling conversation, anarchic parlour games and his own inimitable brand of sublime comedy.  Oh and spot of afternoon tea.

Be taken on a whirlwind of festival gossip, intelligent satire and comical interludes.  Don’t forget your cucumber sandwiches.

So You Think You’re Funny and BBC New Comedy Award Winner Tom’s career continues to apace. He has just come back from a sell-out run in Australia at the Melbourne International Comedy Festival, performed at Just For Laughs Festival in Montreal, Queer Up North in Manchester, Glasgow and Leicester Comedy Festivals, London’s Soho Theatre, New York’s Upright Citizens Brigade and has had his own show at Edinburgh Fringe for the past four years.

Tom plays Pip in the Sony Award Winning Bleak Expectations with Anthony Head and Richard Johnson on BBC Radio 4 and his TV credits include Big Brother’s Big Mouth and Big Brother’s Little Brother, BBC’s Sensitive Skin, Fear of Fanny, the Frankie Howerd biopic Rather You Than Me, The Cut and Channel 4’s Law of the Playground.  In 2008 he made his own documentary for E4 about identity entitled Who is Tom Allen?  Film includes Colour Me Kubrick with John Malkovich, Starter for Ten and the new Stephen Frears film, Tamara Drewe.
