After a completely sold out run in London, star of smash hit TV show, Flight of the Conchords , New Zealand comedy sensation Rhys Darby (Murray) returns to the Edinburgh Fringe Festival for just ten nights only with a new stand up show. This is sure to be one of the hottest tickets at the fringe this year.
Rhys' stand-up has been described as a sensational blend of sound effects, characterisations and askew observations. His quirky, unique style of physical storytelling, whimsical tales peppered with sound effects has wowed audiences from Iceland to Australia, Bahrain to the Falkland Islands including every major international comedy festival on the planet. He truly is one of a kind.
A veteran of ten years as a stand-up comedian, Darby recently made his feature film debut alongside Jim Carrey in Yes Man. He then went on to feature as one of the DJ's in Richard Curtis' current film, The Boat that Rocked .
The release of his stand-up DVD, Rhys Darby: Imagine That! filmed live in LA last year is one of his proudest achievements and has gone platinum in his homeland.
After living in the U.K. and the U.S. for seven years, Darby now spends his time off at home in New Zealand with his wife and three-year-old son.
