Edinburgh Comedy award nominee in his Edinburgh debut year, Micky Flanagan returns triumphantly to the fringe with a sparkling new hour of his unique brand of stand up comedy.

Spiel sees Micky doing what he does best, storytelling. Drawing on his colourful life growing up in the gritty East End and his now avowedly middle class existence in a leafy London suburb he morphs somewhere in the middle so you can never be quite sure what his take on things might be, but always with hilarious results.

Since Micky's success at Edinburgh in 2007 he has had a brilliant two years. He is one of a handful of comedians to have been given their own Comedy Central half hour special has had a sell out tour of the UK earlier in 2009, he is due to appear on Michael McIntyre's new Saturday evening show on BBC 1 and has been commissioned for a new four part BBC Radio 4 series to be recorded in the autumn. He was recently heard as a regular on BBC Radio 2's series Out to Lunch. As if all that wasn't enough he also got married

Micky's life has certainly been eventful, from starting out as a fish porter at Billingsgate Market, via being a smash hit comic at the Fringe to being handpicked as the warm up man for leader of the Liberal Democrats, Nick Clegg, you can only wonder at what will come next.
