Following her sell-out run at the Edinburgh Fringe last year, Shappi Khorsandi is bringing her critically acclaimed show – ‘Carry on Shappi’ to London’s Soho Theatre this February

Shappi has recently married comedian/musician Christian Reilly. For the honeymoon they joined her father's stand-up tour in Los Angeles where the bride and groom gate-crashed his stage and performed to his two thousand strong audience.

After discovering natural conception would be hard for her, Shappi turned to Morris Dancers who performed a 'fertility dance' for her. Lo and behold...she gave birth to her first child three weeks after last years festival!

Recently you may have seen Shappi on been on Question Time, Never Mind The Full Stops, Mock The Week, The Comedy Store and countless other radio and TV shows and has written and released a book. In between she flew across the globe and knocked ‘em dead at the Melbourne Comedy Festival.

The daughter of an exiled writer and comic from Iran, Shappi's upbringing has been in no way conventional.  From mental illness to opium dens, it's all gone on in the Khorsandi household and now she recounts it all the only way she knows how, with wit, warmth and hilarity.
