PRESS RELEASE
CKP and andrewtaylormanagement.com present,
FIONA O’LOUGHLIN
EDINBURGH FRINGE FESTIVAL 2008
GILDED BALLOON TEVIOT – DINING ROOM
9.15pm (Ends 10.15pm)
1st – 25th AUGUST 2008 (not 12th)
Australia’s feisty Fiona O’ Loughlin is back in Edinburgh with her hot new show; this acclaimed show has already sold out seasons at the Melbourne and Adelaide Fringes this year and garnered her second consecutive Barry award nomination in Melbourne.
Fiona is the world’s superstar mother from Alice Springs, and she’s bursting to tell you about her recent travels across the globe and how weird the world has become …she’s met the Pope (and The Queen), had a nasty incident at Heathrow, she’s developed an unhealthy hatred for a particular Aussie superstar she’s even turned on her favourite child, and we all know that’s not right.
She fearlessly presents unvarnished honesty, swiping through the grit of life – nothing is sacred!
Fiona has been a stand-up comedian, columnist and writer for over ten years; also performing to packed houses in Sydney, Hong Kong, Edinburgh, Melbourne, Los Angeles, Montreal, Adelaide, and more.
The last twelve months have seen Fiona also selected to go to the US to compete in the finals of the prestigious Last Comic Standing, an NBC prime time show for comedians. Not long afterwards, she was nominated for a 2007 Helpmann Award for Best Comedy Performer.
“Five Stars! Gloriously direct delivery” The Herald
“fresh hilarity… extremely infectious.” The List
“Do not miss her!” Sunday Mail
“deliciously wicked confessions, really really funny.” The Age
