PRESS RELEASE

Olivia Wingate Productions presents

GOD’S POTTERY SAVES THE WORLD
EDINBURGH FRINGE FESTIVAL 2007
PLEASANCE COURTYARD, THE CAVERN
6.40pm (Ends 7.40pm)
2nd – 27th AUGUST 2007 (not 15th or 22nd)

They’re back! God’s Pottery, last year’s runaway hit of the festival is back with a brand new show. This time they’re not just talking about saving one little boy from Harlem, but the entire world. With all new songs, Christian folk rockers Gideon Lamb and Jeremiah Smallchild take on more global issues like adoption, drug addiction, and Africa in an effort to save all mankind through the power of song, true belief, and a PowerPoint™ presentation. God help us all.

The satire is spot on. Hilarious and razor-sharp.” The Telegraph

Heavenly. The combination of dark comedy and joyful sincerity works wonders.” The Times

Krister Johnson and Wilson Hall are terrific. If Christianity were always this funny I’d go to church.” Guardian

The Chemistry is golden. Deliciously inappropriate.” Three Weeks

Brilliantly performed and observed, physically and ideologically.” **** The Herald

Fantastic satire.” Scotland on Sunday

A wonderfully nuanced piece of character comedy. God’s Pottery are unerringly hilarious, and yet, because Wilson Hall and Krister Johnson never slip out of character, a born-again Christian could enjoy the whole show without spotting the joke. Miraculous.” Independent On Sunday

Hits the pastiche perfectly.” The Sunday Times
