PRESS RELEASE
GLENN WOOL – YOU DON’T GO TO HELL
FOR EATING ELEPHANTS
PLEASANCE LONDON
6th – 9th DECEMBER 2006 (Wed – Sat) @ 8pm
After a triumphant run at the Edinburgh Festival, Glenn Wool is bringing his smash hit show to London during December. He is back and he is better than ever before. If you missed him in Edinburgh now is your chance to see what all the fuss was about. This show is definitely not one to be missed.
You Don’t Go To Hell for Eating Elephants is a show, which with bold moves is sure to revolutionize comedy. Glenn will forgo the use of a laptop or a projector and allow the audience to make the images of what he's talking about INSIDE THIER OWN HEADS! It's a show about the location of hell. Is it spiritual, mental or physical? Does it have a capital, should it be capitalized, and does it involve capitalism? All these questions asked and more.
Glenn began his comedy career in his hometown of Vancouver in 1995. He moved to London in 1998 and quickly became one of the rising stars of the London and international comedy circuit having performed in Australia, New Zealand, South Africa, Switzerland, France, Croatia and Arabia. Glenn was nominated for Best International Stand Up at The New Zealand Comedy Awards.
Glenn is a regular TV face having made appearances on The World Stands Up for Paramount The BBC Stand Up Show, The Live Floor Show, 28 Acts in 28 Minutes and The Comic side of Seven Days for the BBC. Most recently he has just taken part in Comedy Cuts, the newly commissioned comedy show from ITV2. Last year Glenn wrote and starred in What's The Story?' broadcast on Channel 4 as part of the Comedy Lab.
Radio is familiar to Glenn too having recently been in Political Animal and 28 Acts in 28 Minutes for BBC Radio 4 as well as headlining 4 at the Store (R4) and The Late Night Comedy Show for Radio 1.
